Did you know if you have taken certain medications for a mental health condition, like schizophrenia, you might be at risk for developing a condition known as #TardiveDyskinesia (TD), a movement disorder? Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is an incredibly debilitating - and stigmatized - health disorder. For #OCDAwarenessWeek, we want to dispel the myths and misconceptions around OCD. OCD is often a chronic, relapsing illness. People with OCD suffer intensely from recurrent unwanted thoughts (obsessions) or rituals (compulsions), which they feel they cannot control. Left untreated, obsessions and the need to perform rituals can take over a person's life. You can learn more about OCD, find treatment options, and access resources at mhanational.org/ocd.
