Imagine your mental health organization having a full, regular schedule with a single-digit no-show rate and stable revenue streams. Mend transforms mental health workflows by digitizing patient intake and maximizing provider utilization. Founded in 2014, Mend is on a mission to make access to mental and behavioral healthcare convenient for all. We partner with our customers, who use our digital patient intake, scheduling, communications, and payments platform to manage their practice in all new ways, and the results speak for themselves. Mend customers report an average 7.6% no-show rate, down from the industry-standard 36%. Care plan adherence soars, outcomes are positvely affected, and, most importantly, more patients have access to care.

Yesterday I posted about the association between fragrance and our mental health. At the bottom of my post, I gave a footnote around the estimated market value for pumpkin spice products. Four minutes later, our brilliant marketing team spiced up one of my favorite ways to increase access to care at Mend - with a little holiday twist (phthalate free, of course). All humor aside, we know that when we: ?? Give clients and patients the ability to access flexible scheduling via QR codes and public links - ?? Organizations will see an increase in appointment requests. ?? Empower those same individuals with the ability to confirm, cancel, and reschedule - ?? We decrease the likelihood of no-shows and last minute cancellations. ?? Remove restrictions like logging in to portals or requiring app downloads - ?? We reduce barriers to care for anyone who may have an older device or is not tech savvy. ?? And we haven't even touched on reducing staff burnout, improving drop off rates, or driving long term outcomes through continuous care. I used to think I was biased towards self-scheduling after all of my years in hospitality managing reservation platforms, but the reality is: ?? Not every appointment needs to be manually approved before it is scheduled ?? Not every individual is ready to speak on the phone about why they are seeking help - especially if their preferred language for care is not english ?? Not everyone wants to talk about their reason for cancelling And that is OK. We're here to mend that gap. #mentalhealth #empowerindividuals #beflexible #increaseaccesstocare *Photo credit to David Henderson for introducting this ?? **** DISCLAIMER: We don't actually have any pumpking spice products. Or pumpkin spiced products. I don't even like pumpkin spice, but I would LOVE to have a conversation around how we can help increase patient engagement.

My favorite new product mend is our new patient self-scheduling experience ??. Not only does this user-friendly experience increase access to care, but we find that self-scheduled appointments have significantly lower no-show rates. Behavioral health practices deserve tools that empower both providers and patients. Our Patient Self-Scheduling (PSS) solution is designed to do just that. Mend's PSS system ensures your clients have timely access to care by letting them book, modify, or cancel appointments right from their device, at any time. No more 9-5 barriers, no more missed connections. This means: - Fewer no-shows and smoother scheduling. - Increased revenue for your practice. - Empowered patients who take control of their care. Plus, it integrates seamlessly with your EHR to reduce scheduling errors and boost efficiency for your team. #BehavioralHealth #PatientSelfScheduling #HealthcareTech #WinTogether
Our very own David Henderson reflected on a conversation he had with Carol Piso, LICSW, PMP, and it is so touching. We are so impressed with the inventive, proactive care that Advocates is bringing to its community. #mentalhealth #accesstocare #behvaioralhealth
