Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in America, according to the American Lung Association. If you’re at risk for #LungCancer: the good news is that regular screenings can find lung cancer early, when it's most treatable. Not sure if you should get screened? If you smoked, consider taking the American Lung Association’s risk quiz. It can help you find out if you should talk to your doctor about screening. Get details and start the quiz here: https://bit.ly/48OVNqW Schedule your lung cancer screening at (912) 350-LUNG (5864). #ImproveMoreLives #LungCancerAwareness

We feel beauty comes from the inside. But when you have been a patient at the hospital, sometimes it helps to get a little makeover. Our oncology nursing team surprised one of our patients with a beauty salon makeover this week. The patient said, "It made me feel so special and boosted my energy so much! I cannot thank them enough for doing this and the great care I have received." #weshowup

Happy Halloween | Here are some Halloween safety tips from our friends at Safe Kids Savannah: ?? Use reflective items like glowsticks, flashlights or reflective stickers on costumes and bags so you are more visible to drivers at night. ?? Children under 12 years should trick-or-treat with a trusted adult ?? Trick-or-treat in groups so you are more likely to be seen ?? Always assume that drivers cannot see you, especially at night ?? Stick to familiar areas that are well lit ?? Drivers: Slow down and be alert! Kids are excited on Halloween. They may be running from house to house. Have your headlights on early in the day to spot kids from further away.
