???? Exciting News! We’re launching the MEMA Sustainability Council—a dedicated space for sustainability executives and professionals to connect, share best practices, and drive impactful solutions across the vehicle supplier industry. Building on the legacy of the MEMA EHS&S Council, this new forum reflects the growing importance of sustainability in both the MEMA Original Equipment Suppliers and MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers sectors. Starting in 2025, council members will meet quarterly in metro Detroit, with virtual options available. Together, through MEMA’s Center for Sustainability, we’re creating a more sustainable future and empowering members on their sustainability journeys. ?? Ready to join the movement? MEMA is closely monitoring the ongoing strike at East and Gulf Coast ports, which is causing significant disruptions to vehicle and parts imports. Our team is actively engaged with stakeholders and will provide regular updates to members via email and upcoming meetings. MEMA’s CEO, Bill Long, emphasized the potential severity of a prolonged strike: "If it continues, it’s going to be a disaster – shutting down plants, halting production lines, and causing layoffs."
