The SDDA expresses deep gratitude this Thanksgiving season for the unwavering support received from our supporters, partners, and board members. As we close out the fourth quarter of the year, we are humbled and amazed by the impact the Lord has allowed us to make in the lives of those we have the privilege to serve. Reflection on the profound impact made possible by the collective efforts is both humbling and inspiring. THANK YOU! ???? 500 meal kits and turkeys were given to our Uplift families Uplift Education ! 200 turkeys were given to our friends and partners at BridgeBuilders ! In total we served 700 families this Thanksgiving season! 700 families are able to have a Thanksgiving meal. 700 families are able to rest knowing that they do not have to worry about how and where they are going to get food this Thanksgiving! We want to give a HUGE thank you to our partners, volunteers, and scholars who came out to serve our Uplift families on Thursday and Saturday; Lexus Toyota Motor Corporation , Menasha Corporation Kroger and Hilton Anatole ! We couldn’t do this without you! Thank you all for helping us make a difference together! Your donations, and time make a huge impact! IT’S TIMEEEE!! It’s the most wonderful time of the year for the Melville Family Foundation; our annual M.F.F Thanksgiving! Every year we have the opportunity to give a Thanksgiving meal to our adopted Uplift Education scholars and their families and this year we are doubling our giving. When we first started this event we were able to give 50 turkeys to our church community and now we are able to give 700 turkeys and 500 Thanksgiving meal kits! We couldn’t have done this without our amazing partners and volunteers! Stay tuned because we are continuing our Thanksgiving event today at Uplift Hampton and we can’t wait to share more of the great efforts our partners and volunteers have put in to make this event special! Thank you to the Uplift Luna scholars, parents, and volunteers and our partners at Menasha, Lexus and Kroger who helped make the first distribution a success on Friday! Uplift Education shares its mission with the foundation by providing underserved communities with access to a high-quality, college-preparatory education. MFF’s opportunities are filtered through Uplift Education, and with your donations we have been able provide academic excellence, food security, and economic stability to our scholars!
