Today, we kick off Melton’s end-of-year campaign, Together, We Rise! This year’s theme celebrates the resilience, connection, and strength of the Melton community – even in life’s most challenging moments. ?? One of our newest learners shared how Melton has impacted her life: "After October 7th, I felt a deep need to understand my Jewish roots and connect more meaningfully with my heritage ... Melton has truly helped me find meaning and purpose in my life, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a welcoming community." With your support, we can create opportunities for Jewish learning, connection, and growth worldwide. Let’s build a vibrant, meaningful future together. With community … Together, We Rise. ?? As a rabbi and educator, I see such an urgent need in our community since October 7 for more and better education on Israel, but synagogues and communal organizations can be unsure of how to take the next step, especially when funding is tight. Thanks to a generous underwriting gift, Melton is now able to offer any one of our three Israel courses?to new partner communities at a significantly discounted rate. This is a unique chance to enrich your community with deep, meaningful Jewish learning and connection to Israel. If your organization or one you know is passionate about Israel and being part of a worldwide movement of committed Jewish learners, now is the perfect time to partner with us. Together, we can provide transformative experiences that empower learners to enrich Jewish life for many years to come. #JewishLearning

This past week, the Jewish Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Resource Center posted the following question: "Feeling disconnected from the #jewishcommunity due to lack of #accessibility to learning the rich tapestry that is interwoven in your history? One of the values that is central to our mission is making Melton accessible to all learners. We are proud to partner with the JDRC in offering the course: “It’s a Date: Marking Time the Jewish Way”, taught by Rabbi Rebecca Dubowe. If you or anyone in your community would benefit from this course, learn more about it at www.meltonschool.org/jdrc. If you would like to connect about how to make learning more accessible to your organization or to discuss any potential collaborations with Melton, we'd love to hear from you! Contact us at [email protected].

Standing Out in the Crowded Online World ?Proven Formula for LinkedIn? Profiles, Messaging, and Nonprofit Communications ?President, Marketing Sense
MY (SHORT) LINKEDIN VACATION ?? (Canadian Rockies) I made it one full week off of LinkedIn. For those of us trying to limit social media time, I learned… Life Goes On… 1.?Even important colleagues can wait for you to respond to their LinkedIn Message. Or they’ll contact you another way. 2.?Long-lost colleagues who reply to your message a year after you sent it can really wait ?? 3.?Most LinkedIn activity is “nice to know/do” not “need to know” -?If something really important happens, you’ll remember later. 4.?Without the LinkedIn Top Voice designation. LinkedIn notified me of my “loss” on Day 4 of my LinkedIn vacation. Odd, because I had not yet skipped my regular Sunday LinkedIn Collaborative article contribution. P.S. Initially planned for a two-week break, but being a LinkedIn trainer made that impossible ??. However, I'm currently off LinkedIn all day Saturday and can extend that to Friday afternoon. P.P.S. I’m now considering a screen-free day each week after realizing how other social media and phone apps can be time wasters. Thank you, Sandra Lilienthal and Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning for this idea.? #worklifebalance
