We are excited to share a recent research article co-authored by Shawn P. Quigley, Ph.D., BCBA-D, CDE?, Mary Jane Weiss, Ph.D., BCBA-D, Thomas Zane, Ph.D., BCBA-D, and Abraham Graber, Ph.D. The article, Ethics Discourse in a Recurring Journal Format: A Proposal to Increase Ethics Discussion and Supports for Ethical Decision-Making, examines how ethical standards can vary within professional groups like behavior analysts, despite established codes. It identifies a need for recurring ethics discussions in behavior analysis literature and proposes guidelines for a structured, ongoing discourse in journals to support the profession. Team Melmark had an incredible time at the Flutie 5K! We ran for a great cause and showed our support for the Flutie Foundation. Melmark’s team consisted of parents, students, and staff who raised over $1,400. The Flutie Foundation also donated $500 to each team for a total of $1,839.18. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and cheered us on! Together, we’re making a difference!

Melmark team members Lauren Carter, Emily Chin, Maria Wizboski, and Mary Jane Weiss were recently published in the @AutismSpectrumNews. Their article, “Interdisciplinary Approach to Obtaining a Medical Diagnosis For Individuals With a Complex Behavioral Profile” delves into the potential barriers to access to care that individuals with disabilities often encounter and how important advocacy be to ensuring proper treatment.
