Here are a few things I recommend you do: ?? Unfollow people you're not interested in. ?? Ignore the quotes unless they are being shared by people?you want to see in your homepage. ?? Ignore?the ads. Or, if they truly aren't relevant, you can tell LinkedIn to stop showing a particular ad. ? Then, consider visiting profiles for connections whose background aligns with your ideal target audience and who could be referral partners for you. ? Scroll down to their activity feed section, and find a recent post to comment on. This will help to retrain the algorithm to show you more relevant content, so the homepage isn't just random quotes and ads. Need more help? ?? Featured #LinkedInQuestion ??: I am helping with business development for a friend's company.?Any tips on increasing page post impressions, given the most recent changes in the algorithm rules? What do we do to increase reach without hurting? I remember you're not supposed to comment on your own post. ANSWER from Brenda Meller??: Great question! The LinkedIn algorithm is always changing, and while it's important to be aware of that fact, I wouldn't worry too much about trying to crack the code. Instead, here's what I recommend to help increase impressions on your page posts. 1?? Make sure that the page is posting regularly. At minimum, once a month, but even better is once each week. 2?? Use all page invitation credits each month to grow your page followers. Since page posts are mainly only seen by people visiting the page, the more visitors you drive through page invitations, the higher the potential reach of your recent posts. 3?? Invite your employees to comment on the post as themselves (not as the page), and add a thoughtful comment. Reply as the page. This helps to jump-start engagement, and also shows a strong company culture. In addition, it helps to humanize the page. 4?? Tag employees into your page posts, when relevant. Doing so helps to push the post out to their homepage feeds. This can help to reach new readers and drive impressions! 5?? Encourage your employees to "Reshare with your thoughts" from the page to their profiles, as least once a month -- if not weekly. BONUS: make sure your team is trained on social selling on LinkedIn and that their profiles are optimized.
