?? Featured #LinkedInQuestion ??: my home page is all quotes and advertising...am I on the wrong page? ANSWER from Brenda Meller??: You're on the right page. Right now, LinkedIn doesn't know whose posts?to show to you because you haven't been very active. Your homepage will become more relevant as you spend more time there. Here are a few things I recommend you do: ?? Unfollow people you're not interested in. ?? Ignore the quotes unless they are being shared by people?you want to see in your homepage. ?? Ignore?the ads. Or, if they truly aren't relevant, you can tell LinkedIn to stop showing a particular ad. ? Then, consider visiting profiles for connections whose background aligns with your ideal target audience and who could be referral partners for you. ? Scroll down to their activity feed section, and find a recent post to comment on. This will help to retrain the algorithm to show you more relevant content, so the homepage isn't just random quotes and ads. Need more help? ?? Featured #LinkedInQuestion ??: Is there a limit to how many posts I can post in different groups a day or a week? ? Some days I post in 20 and it’s fine, the next day I post in 3 separate groups and it says I have exceeded my limit yet when I google how many groups I can post in per day or week it says there are no limits. ANSWER from Brenda Meller??. Interesting question. My initial concern is the number of post you're doing into groups should be generating engagement. I've found that the best use of groups is to engage first (comment on other peoples' posts, invite fellow group members to connect) and then to post maybe once a week. If you're dropping posts into group and not building community engagement (which may be difficult to do with 20 posts in a day), it could be wasted effort. I don't know the "limit" set by LinkedIn, but I'd rather look at your own results / engagement. I recommend you aim for quality over quantity. Hope this helps!

??Wondering how to WATCH a video and then work on a website at the same time? For example, let's say it is a video about LinkedIn. Let's say you want to work on the techniques shared in that YouTube video offering LinkedIn tips. And you have a laptop at home. But you don't know how to easily navigate between the YouTube video and your LinkedIn profile on your laptop. I have two possible suggestions: 1?? Purchase an external monitor and an HDML cable. Then, you can use the external monitor screen to WATCH the video, and your laptop to navigate LinkedIn. Note: you can purchase a monitor for less than $100 any retailer that carries laptops. I recommend Micro Center. You might also be able to find one on Facebook marketplace for lower than that or free. Just make sure you have a cable to hook it up from your laptop, plus a power cable for the external monitor. 2?? Watch the video from your phone. Turn it sideways. I do this frequently when I'm trying to do a DIY home or auto repair. Turning your phone sideways will push the video into a horizontal, fullscreen layout. Then, you can navigate onto LinkedIn or whatever site is being explained in the video. For this video, I used a YouTube video of my friend Vicki O'Neill, who specializes in helping women over 40 grow on YouTube. Her video is titled, "Watch me walk through a live channel audit" and I'm hoping she comments below with the link. FIND THIS HELPFUL? Comment below and let me know. Have a nice day. ?????????? ?? Featured #LinkedInQuestion ??: which email should I use for my LinkedIn? ANSWER by Brenda Meller?? : I typically recommend that the email you use as the primary email on your LinkedIn profile is the email you use for business — if you’re self employed or work as an employee of a company. My preference is a branded email address (ex: [email protected]) instead of a generic email address (ex: [email protected]). If you’re starting a job search, it might be a red flag to change it to your home email. But it depends on your situation. If you’re worried that potential employers may try to email you using that email listed on your account and it could jeopardize your employment, then change it to your home email.??And possibly disconnect from your coworkers or bosses. ?That way, they won’t see your contact info. ?? EDITED TO ADD: I also recommend adding a home email as a secondary email on your account. Hope this helps! #linkedin #opentowork #linkedintips #socialselling

?? Featured #LinkedInQuestion ??: I have established my email campaign and would appreciate if you can point to one of your great marketing emails on how to connect a subscription on LinkedIn to my account please. ANSWER from Brenda Meller??: Are you asking how to export your LinkedIn connections' emails into your email database? This is technically a violation of CAN-SPAM rules. When someone connects to you on LinkedIn, they are giving you permission to connect on LinkedIn, as well as sharing their contact info for 1:1 communications. They are not giving you permission to add their email to your newsletter list. I'd like to refer you to my friend Kendra Corman who has some resources on email marketing: https://lnkd.in/g-X6jC5u Any other questions (or if I misunderstood), let me know.?

?? Featured #LinkedInQuestion ??: Should I create a separate LinkedIn page for my LLC, or whether I should just manage everything through my personal page.?Thoughts? ANSWER from Brenda Meller??: great question. On LinkedIn, there are the following: ? Personal (professional) profiles for individuals, like for me: Brenda Meller?? ? Business (company) pages for organizations like MellerMarketing.com You have to have an individual profile to create a company page. And your company page can be LINKED to your individual profile in your EXPERIENCE section. I do NOT recommend creating an individual profile for your business. It causes confusion for visitors. Also, it's technically a violation of LinkedIn's terms of service to create an individual profile for business pages. PLUS: it's FREE to create a company page on LinkedIn. Here's a simple how-to guide to get you started. https://lnkd.in/dAGsRzvn Hope this helps!
