A lot of men are moving too fast to notice what’s actually driving them. Underneath the stress, the push, and the responsibilities—there’s something deeper calling for your attention. When you slow down and tune in, you reconnect with your instincts, your fire, and your ability to show up fully in your life. ?? MELD’s CORE Program is a 10-week training designed to rewire how you handle stress, emotions, and connection—distilled from 70+ years of research on how the nervous system shapes our reality. Mastering these skills changes everything: ? More presence & resilience under pressure ? Deeper authenticity & personal power ? Revitalized relationships—at home & at work ? Greater clarity and confidence in your purpose This isn’t therapy. It’s training. If you’re serious about breaking old patterns and living with more energy, connection, and clarity—this is your next step. CORE begins April 9. https://meld.community/core

Men's Emotional Leadership Development
关于我们
MELD is addressing a critical gap in the modern approach to men’s mental health by integrating somatic practices and connection-building – addressing the issues of isolation, burn-out, lack of fulfillment, and relationship challenges. Through carefully engineered science-based programs, MELD creates environments where men can safely explore their patterns and blocks while honoring their natural tendencies toward action and physicality. This unique framework enables participants to bypass common resistance to emotional work, allowing them to access deeper layers of self-awareness and authentic expression. MELD is building a global community of men who are resilient, aware, and ready to contribute in ways beyond what they thought possible. As mental health continues to emerge as a critical public health issue, MELD's work demonstrates how innovative, body-based approaches can make emotional wellness more accessible and appealing to men who might otherwise resist seeking support. For too long, men have been taught to suppress emotions and “tough it out.†But what if emotional resilience and connection were the real strengths? Owen Marcus and the team at MELD are redefining how men navigate stress, vulnerability, and personal growth—grounded in science and community support. From somatic mindfulness to communal connection, their approach is proving that emotional wellness isn’t just personal—it’s transformational. I highly recommend diving into these five key lessons that can help men show up more authentically in their lives. It’s not uncommon for men to feel numb. We hear from a lot of men that they struggle to feel anything at all. That’s how we’ve been trained and conditioned. You’re not broken, you’re not wrong, you’re not bad if you you shut down. It’s very common for us men. We help men to develop their felt sense, expand emotional awareness, and grow their range of resilience. Here's an excerpt of Mike Sagun, CPCC teaching in our CORE course, an intro to somatics for men.

Men, we are living with our fight/flight stress response switched on when it doesn’t need to be. When we slow down, we can regulate, move out of the threat response, and our body returns to a normal rest and digest parasympathetic state, where all our bodily processes function optimally. Sound familiar? video of Owen Marcus on the Behavioral Health Today Podcast

??A lot of men are living in a low-level (or not-so-low level) stress response. ??When we can down regulate, there’s a whole world that opens up under the surface. ? MELD is here to help you regulate your nervous system, break out of life-long stress loops, and improve your relationships with your self and the world around you. Learning attachment - as a man. We work in groups because it’s one of the best ways to train ourselves - in relationship. In community. For millions of years of our evolutionary history all the way up through until about 500-1000 years ago, we learned we grew and we lived in groups, in community. We evolved with togetherness. This notion that we have to do everything by ourselves and carry our struggles and not burden anyone with them, that is a relatively new phenomenon, evolutionarily speaking it’s the blink of an eye, and thus it’s a phenomenon that goes against our biology. At MELD we have an expression, “when one man works we all workâ€, and that’s about getting in touch with your physical experience, your somatic experience. Witnessing another man sharing an emotional or physical experience provides us with our own emotional and physical experience, and with your somatic experience as part of your frame of reference, then every interaction you have becomes an opportunity to learn about yourself and how you feel, based on how you respond. Connection is something that is a human need, it’s crucial for our survival and certainly for our ability to thrive. Owen Marcus on the Behavioral Health Today Podcast with Dr. Graham Taylor

The greatest gift you can give yourself and your family is nervous system regulation.
How I Help Men Create Greater Connection and Regulation In my conversation on the BHT Podcast, I share how flipping the traditional "mind-over-body" model helps men move past shame and stress. By focusing on the body first—through somatic regulation and understanding our physiological responses—stress can transform into deeper connection. https://lnkd.in/gw7B5Qy4

Thank you to Triad and Dr. Graham Taylor for having Owen Marcus and Duncan Rich on the Behavioral Health Today Podcast There's not a lot of sympathy today for the struggles of men, but men are not the problem—the model is the problem. The common paradigm has traditionally taught men that strength equates to stoicism and emotional isolation. Vulnerability is perceived as weakness, and the expectation to "figure it out on your own" is ingrained as a hallmark of true masculinity. This limited and restrictive model of manhood has far-reaching consequences, not only for men themselves but also for their relationships and society as a whole. It leads to emotional repression, unhealthy coping mechanisms, and difficulties forming genuine connections. With everything we do at MELD, we believe it essential to challenge and redefine these outdated notions of masculinity. It's time to embrace a new model.
Redefining Masculinity: It's not about standing alone—it's about connecting deeply with ourselves and each other. In this episode, Dr. Graham Taylor is joined by Duncan Rich and Owen Marcus from MELD, a men's wellness organization focused on emotional resilience and mental health. Owen, with over 40 years of experience working with men’s groups and somatic programs, develops transformative programs at MELD to help men build emotional intelligence and live fully. He’s also the author of?Grow Up: A Man’s Guide to Masculine Emotional Intelligence. Duncan, co-founder and Head of Operations at MELD, brings his expertise in creating meaningful experiences, from retreats to large-scale festivals. Together, Duncan and Owen lead a global movement empowering men to embrace vulnerability, overcome societal pressures, and build deeper connections through MELD’s somatic-based approach, group work, and community healing.
