关于我们

Since 1970 Melbourne Airport has been Victoria’s gateway to the world, operating curfew-free, 24 hours per day, seven days a week. We are one of Australia’s premier transport hubs situated on an estate of 2,400 hectares. The greater Melbourne Airport precinct offers significant aeronautical infrastructure, a large business park and extensive road networks. The airport is located 22 kilometres northwest of Melbourne’s central business district and is well connected to the city’s freeway and arterial road network. Plans are progressing for a rail link connecting the airport to the suburban rail network via Sunshine. The airport is close to major industrial areas and serves as a hub for freight and logistics, while providing employment to thousands of residents in nearby suburban growth corridors. Melbourne is growing and Melbourne Airport is too. We expect to welcome more than 60 million travellers per year by 2033, and more than 14,000 people currently work at the airport, in industries as diverse as aviation, hospitality, freight and logistics, transport and retail. As we welcome more employees, travellers, and business partners to the airport, it’s important to be clear on our vision, purpose, and values. At Melbourne Airport, our vision is to be Australia’s favourite airport destination and we achieve this through our purpose which is to create connections that matter every day. Our values are: Be you. We celebrate diversity and earn the trust of our team and stakeholders by acting with integrity. Think big. We are visionary, with the courage to innovate and achieve our goals. Own it. We are results driven, make savvy decisions and take responsibility for our actions. Work together. We work together and communicate openly to achieve shared goals. If you are interested in working for Melbourne Airport please visit our Career Centre via our website.

Women in full flight at Melbourne Airport! To mark International Women’s Day, we joined forces with Air India and Airservices Australia to celebrate the incredible women shaping the aviation industry. Last night, AI308 from Delhi to Melbourne and AI309 back to India were crewed and supported by women - both in the air and on the ground. From pilots and cabin crew to air traffic controllers and ground staff, these flights were a powerful testament to the growing presence of women in aviation. With India leading the way, where more than 15% of commercial pilots are women compared to around 10% in Australia, this moment highlights both the progress made and the work still to be done. Melbourne Airport CEO Lorie Argus said: “Flights like these show that anything is possible for women in aviation today. The saying ‘you can’t be what you can’t see’ is true, and I hope shining a light on these amazing women inspires the next generation to follow in their footsteps.” More online:>https://brnw.ch/21wRbHN #MelbourneAirport #IWD2025 #AirIndia #WomenInAviation Air India Limited

  • This Sunday marks a significant enhancement in the passenger experience at Melbourne Airport with the introduction of more than 2,500 new trolleys. The selection process for the new trolleys involved extensive customer research, future demand modelling as Victoria continues to grow, and a global tender process. The new trolleys are over 30% lighter, offering smoother and quieter navigation, and can be found at 22 state-of-the-art payment kiosks. These interactive kiosks support WePay and AliPay, and feature multilingual interfaces for added convenience. The old trolleys will either be broken down into parts and recycled, or refurbished and used elsewhere. The old kiosks and trolley bays will be broken down into parts and recycled. Starting March 2, trolley hire will be $5 in domestic terminals, while passengers arriving internationally—where trolleys are most needed—will continue to have access to them free of charge. The trolley fee aligns with those at other major airports across Australia. For more information, please visit:> https://brnw.ch/21wR0jL #melbourneairport #trolleys #smartecarte

Building a smoother airport experience at Melbourne Airport! In early February, Seymour Whyte successfully installed 28 Super-T beams as part of the new ramp connecting the Terminal 1, 2, 3 Car Park to the Tullamarine Freeway. Installing five of these beams over Centre Road was no small task. With just a five-hour overnight window, the team coordinated a precise dual-lift operation using a 400t and 750t crane to move the beams safely into place. Once complete in early 2026, this project will: - Create a direct link from the Tullamarine Freeway to new dedicated pick-up and drop-off zones - Reduce congestion across the airport precinct - Enhance safety for all travellers and visitors As we work on these improvements, we advise travellers to add an additional 30 minutes to their travel time if coming to the airport. If you're picking up or dropping off travellers, we encourage you to take the Terminal 4 Car Park exit (via Naarm Way) to avoid congestion in the Terminal 123 forecourt. We apologise for the inconvenience, but with growing passenger numbers it’s essential we upgrade our road network to reduce future delays. More information on Naarm Way:> https://lnkd.in/gDgJYU_d For the latest updates on road disruptions, visit: https://brnw.ch/21wMbZY #MelbourneAirport #BuildingYourAirport #AirportInfrastructure #NaarmWay

Our CEO Lorie Argus joined Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos this morning to announce a record-breaking start to 2025 at Melbourne Airport! January was our busiest month ever, with 3,393,977 passengers passing through our terminals, surpassing our previous record set in 2019. With international travel up 14% and domestic travel up 5% year-on-year, highlighting the success of strong partnerships with airlines and the Victorian Government. In the past year, airlines including Turkish Airlines, Vietjet, Cebu Pacific, China Southern, and China Airlines have expanded their services, with Delta Air Lines and Virgin Australia set to launch flights to Los Angeles and Doha later this year. As we continue to grow, our focus remains on delivering the infrastructure needed to support this demand.
