Last week, we had the opportunity to pitch at the Johns Hopkins Annual Startup Showcase. We were selected as one of the seven most promising Hopkins student ventures of the year. Our founder, Rene Torre, and business lead, Luke Hartline, showcased our innovative fintech platform designed to enhance financial accessibility for emerging physicians. Thank you to The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School for organizing a fantastic event. It was amazing to share our ideas with university leaders and connect with awesome VCs and investors.

What a wonderful time we had at The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School on Tuesday evening for the annual Student Venture Showcase! After welcome remarks from Carey Business School Dean, Alexander Triantis, primary sponsor Jon Kling, Founder and CEO of Municipal Acquisitions, and our winners from the last 2 years - CurveAssure and Hubly Surgical, we heard from 7 excellent Hopkins student startups. Award winners: Asher Varon, Founder of ViVE - Grand Prize of $25k; David Usevitch, Founder of NurseTech, LLC - 2nd Place $5k; Warren Su, Founder of Squid3 Space who was selected for the new Hopstone Award for $3k; and Tito Porras, MD of Owlstead who won the Audience Choice Award for $3k. Congratulations! It was a difficult choice for the judges, so we must applaud the other startup founders for their amazing ventures: Rene Torre of Medland , Alexander Rovalino of Aquapitas, and Julie Gerber and Chad Gerber of Meloscene. Big thank you to our VC Judges, who gave their time to support growing startups at Hopkins: Barbara White, Teddy Gresser, Ken Malone, Supriya Munshaw, Christopher College, and Mike Leffer -- you're all amazing!
