#DidYouKnow that although cancer treatments are advancing daily, access to these therapies varies significantly across regions and countries? In Europe, the EFPIA - European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations Patients W.A.I.T. Indicator 2023?reveals dramatic access inequities within the continent.?Data was collected from 36 countries (27 EU and 9 non-EU)?and revealed that the majority of Central and Eastern European (#CEE) countries face lower availability of new innovative medicines compared to Western nations. For example, while?the median time to availability is 47 days in #Germany, the median time in #Poland and #Romania is 770 days. These delays in #Europe emphasize the urgent need to close the access gap and bring life-changing therapies to patients who need them most. Recent regulatory milestones in #Czechia, #Romania, #Poland, #Croatia, and #Slovenia mark a crucial step forward in accelerating patient access to groundbreaking cancer therapies. #WeCare is at the heart of everything we do at Medison. When the devastating floods recently struck communities in #Poland and the #CzechRepublic, communities we proudly serve, we knew we had to act. To make the greatest impact we made a donation to the local Red Cross. With our support, they were able to deliver critical relief supplies such as food, water, hygiene products, and warm clothing to families in flood-hit regions. The donation also supported rebuilding efforts by providing over 800 essential heating and cooking devices, including industrial dehumidifiers and power generators, to help families restore their homes and ensure safety. Additionally, it helped more than 400 children begin their healing journey through therapeutic “green school” programs, offering them the psychological support needed to cope with trauma and recover. We’re proud to share the words of Micha? Miko?ajczyk, a member of the Polish Red Cross Governing Board: "Medison’s commitment exemplifies corporate responsibility and demonstrates real impact on society.
