In case you aren't aware, HCSC who umbrellas BCBS plans for TX, IL, MO, NM and OK has a pending policy set to take effect 1/1/2025 that would restrict many of the respiratory biologic injectables to the pharmacy benefit and classed as a self-administered drug. Our providers have come together and drafted letters to send in and appeal this policy. We encourage you all to exercise this option whether it's for this exact policy change or any others that may affect the way your patients receive their medication and the providers ability to dictate what is best for the patient. . . . . . .
