85 volunteers built 1,357 Weekender Food Bags this past Saturday - the equivalent of two weeks of distribution to at-risk Toledo Public Schools students and their families! Amazing work! IFB was proud to host 50 volunteers from The University of Toledo The Big Event plus 35 community volunteers. Special thanks to Katie Porter and Ramy Sarsour from Medical Scribing Solutions for coordinating all Big Event volunteers at the Islamic Food Bank. This was our second year as a site for The Big Event, which is the largest single-day, student-run service project at the University of Toledo. It was truly an honor to be involved.
