The conference was a wonderfully insightful “oh lala” experience! ? We had high-quality speakers, attentive participants, and generous sponsors, all contributing to a fantastic celebration day in beautiful Bordeaux, making history together ????. After returning home three weeks ago and settling back into work, I reflected on the immense effort we put into our travels. ?It made me wonder: what truly makes a conference successful for businesses and the industry? For me, the answer lies in the fact that “Science in the City” was a tremendous success and achievement for the French medical cannabis market.???????? This open enrollment season in Trenton City Hall looked like any other—pamphlets, tables, and employees reviewing benefits—but it marked a historic healthcare milestone. Government employees in Trenton, Orange, and Teaneck now have access to the first-ever integration of medical cannabis into their health plans, with endorsements from the Mayor of Trenton, as well as the Trenton, Orange, and Teaneck Boards of Education. ?? Highlights of the new health plan feature include: ?? Coverage for medical cannabis consultations and access to specialized telehealth services?for cannabis-related care ?? Affordability support?in medical cannabis treatment through: - Cost savings at participating dispensaries - Professional medical guidance on treatment options From Camden Apothecary to URB’N in Newark, select dispensaries are on board to make medical cannabis more affordable. This groundbreaking initiative, a partnership between Bennabis Health, Leafwell, Aetna, and others, sets a powerful precedent for treating cannabis like any other healthcare benefit. For patients, this means fewer barriers and more guidance on cannabis as a therapeutic option. As Steph Sherer from Americans For Safe Access says, this new model mirrors existing alternative healthcare benefits and represents a significant advance for patient advocacy. As more people, like Leafwell’s Dr. June Chin, advocate to educate physicians and reduce stigma, NJ’s model may pave the way for medical cannabis in health plans nationwide. ?? A pleasure to represent RED Horticulture at this event on medical cannabis organized by?Medical Resource Association, Inc.

Last weekend I participated at Science in the City International, the first medical cannabis event organized in France. ? This event, organized by the Medical Resource Association, Inc. was held in Bordeaux and I was invited with my colleague, Raphael Quenum to represent RED Horticulture with a booth. Beside that, I was asked to actively participate in the event which created a fantastic opportunity for me to connect with passionate individuals dedicated to the development of our industry. ? Personally, I was thrilled to discuss dynamic lighting for medical cannabis cultivation and its significance in standardizing this practice. As a French citizen working for a French company, it is an honor to share the expertise of RED Horticulture and illustrate how our technology can address some of the challenges faced by medical cannabis producers. ? Une semaine s’est déjà écoulée depuis le symposium Science in the City, et nous souhaitions prendre un moment pour vous exprimer notre reconnaissance. Cet événement a été une expérience formidable, et nous sommes sincèrement reconnaissants pour l’accueil qui nous a été réservé. Nous tenons à remercier tout particulièrement Kristen M. Beury, B.A. Timothy Beury, Charles Messal, B.A., ainsi que toutes les équipes organisatrices. Leur dévouement et leur professionnalisme ont permis de créer un espace propice aux échanges, aux découvertes et aux débats constructifs. Ce cadre nous a permis de mieux comprendre les enjeux actuels du cannabis médical et d’enrichir notre vision de cette filière. Ce symposium a été bien plus qu’un simple événement intellectuel et technique.
