Day 4 at the LSI Emerging MedTech Summit, and as always, the energy here is incredible! One of the most eye-opening takeaways today: Up to 43% of younger TAVR patients experience premature valve failure within just four years. It’s a powerful reminder that while we've made amazing strides in healthcare, there’s still so much more to do. This year, I had the opportunity to lead a session of start-up pitches, and it was inspiring to see so many bold ideas shaping the future of medtech. The passion and innovation at this conference are truly contagious. Every innovation I’ve seen this week reinforces why we do what we do—bringing life-changing technologies to patients and improving lives. Proud to be here representing Medical Murray and Aptyx! If you’re still here, stick around for golf tomorrow—sponsored by Aptyx. It's going to be a fun and gorgeous day on the course ?
关于我们
Medical Murray is a privately-owned medical technology innovator specializing in designing, developing, and contract manufacturing unique complex catheter systems, permanent implants, and bioabsorbables for less invasive vascular, urology and surgical applications. The company focuses on challenging, intricate designs for minimally invasive procedures. Our dedicated engineering team can take your medical device project from initial concept through final assembly and packaging. Our development laboratory offers multiple technologies and equipment to form, shape, attach, and test catheter tips with complex geometric features. Temperature or pressure measurement, stent or stent graft delivery, steering, drug delivery, and balloon dilation in sizes from 2Fr to 36Fr are commonly integrated within our designs. Our cleanroom molding capabilities include insert molding and over molding small parts and luers, and working with thermosets, thermoplastics, and bioabsorbable polymer materials. Molding of parts weighing less than one gram and the ability to measure just 0.10 mm is our specialty. Manufacturing takes place in one of our ISO 13485 Certified Class 7 cleanrooms providing full turnkey service to our customers. With multiple facilities across the United States, we are dedicated to fully servicing your device development and contract manufacturing requirements in a concise, proactive manner.

Nitinol: The Game-Changer in Medical Device Manufacturing Ever wonder how engineers turn a simple wire into life-saving catheters and implants? The answer lies in?Nitinol, a remarkable nickel-titanium alloy with shape memory and superelastic properties. Here’s why Nitinol is revolutionizing the medical device industry: ???Shape Memory: When heated, Nitinol returns to a "remembered" shape - ideal for devices like stents that expand once deployed. ???Superelasticity: It bends, twists, and stretches without breaking, making it perfect for navigating complex anatomy. ???Biocompatibility & Fatigue Resistance: Nitinol’s strength and resilience make it ideal for long-term use in the body. At?Medical Murray, we harness the power of Nitinol to create advanced, high-performance devices. Whether it’s braiding wires for catheter shafts, laser-cutting stent tubing, or fixturing aortic stent grafts, we've done it all. We specialize in solving tough engineering challenges to create devices that improve patient outcomes. From heart valve deployment to neurovascular treatments, Nitinol’s properties allow us to design precise, flexible, and durable solutions that save lives.?Check out the link in the comments for more on our blog!? #MedicalDevices #Nitinol #EngineeringInnovation #MedTech #ShapeMemory #MedicalMurray

At the recent #THT2025 conference in Boston, the energy around innovative heart failure devices was invigorating. Here’s a quick snapshot of new approaches aimed at closing gaps in traditional treatment for HF: ??Pulmonary Artery Support:?A band-like implant leveraging RV function to boost LV performance. ??Diaphragmatic Stimulation:?Implanted stimulators that support each breath, reducing cardiac workload. ??Ventricular Remodeling:?Catheter-based “cinching” to resize and reshape damaged LV regions. ??Transcatheter LV Restoration:?Minimally invasive tightening of specific LV segments for better pump efficiency. ??Mitral Annulus Remodeling:?Catheter-driven “cinch” around the mitral valve to limit regurgitation and ease volume load. ??Cardiac Contractility Modulation:?Precisely timed impulses for enhanced contraction, with ongoing trials in both reduced and preserved EF. ??Neurohormonal Modulation:?Techniques like baroreceptor stimulation and splanchnic nerve ablation to rebalance sympathetic overdrive. As device options expand, personalized and minimally invasive solutions are offering renewed hope for advanced HF patients.??

Very proud of our latest announcement at Areida Group, LLC!? It is not hyperbolic to say that this is the proudest accomplishment of my career (so far!).? Not necessarily because of the outcome itself, but rather, because of the path we took to arrive at the outcome and the type of people that we supported/partnered with at Medical Murray. It is rare to have the type of alignment that we were able to achieve on this transaction, and this is a case study for how each situation has its own unique solution.? This outcome is further validation of our process, and a prime example of how a lot of good things can happen with proper strategic planning and execution. A very big “thank you” to so many people: Phillip Leopold, Andy Leopold, Eric Leopold, Tanner Hargens, Chris Steadham, Gregg Tobin, John Pless, Alex Mavrovitis, Grant Watson, Michael Dean, and the broader teams at: Medical Murray, Aptyx, TruArc Partners, Buckley Fine, LLC
Medical Murray has strengthened its commitment to complex catheter and implant development following the acquisition of its North Carolina facility by Aptyx. #medicalmanufacturing
