CMS RELEASE 01/21/2025!?"Zero-Dollar Set-Asides: Effective July 17, 2025, CMS will no longer accept or review WCMSA proposals with a zero-dollar ($0) allocation. Entities should still consider the parameters available in the?WCMSA Reference Guide (PDF)?to determine whether a zero-dollar WCMSA allocation is appropriate and should maintain documentation to support that allocation."

On January 17, 2025, CMS released an updated the Workers’ Compensation Medicare Set-Aside Arrangement (WCMSA) Reference Guide Version 4.2 January 17, 2025 COBR-Q1-2025-v4.2?which may be found at https://lnkd.in/grm2JUR2 The changes include: 1) The policy regarding unfunded ($0) WCMSA requests with guidelines was added (Section 4.2). 2) Language related to decision guidelines was updated (Section 9.4.3). 3) Example calculations for Intrathecal Pump, Spinal Cord Stimulator, and Peripheral Nerve stimulator replacements were corrected (Section 9.4.5).?

October 29, 2024 – Testing Reminder for the Section 111 Change to Workers’ Compensation Reporting This is a reminder that Responsible Reporting Entities (RREs) may now test the file layout changes for the upcoming change to S111 Workers’ Compensation Reporting.?These changes are scheduled to be effective April 4, 2025. RREs should test via the usual testing process. Please coordinate testing with your EDI representative. Test beneficiary data may be downloaded from the?Section 111 COB Secure Website?for RREs to use in testing. These files can be found under the Reference Materials section after Login. Records submitted on a test file must have a TPOC date on or after October 7, 2024, to be subject to the new edits in the test environment.?Full details regarding the standard testing process is available in Section 9 of Chapter IV of the NGHP User Guide available in the Download section of the?NGHP User Guide?page. https://lnkd.in/eEKjPSSC
