President & CEO Medical Home Network ? Building Healthier Communities By Transforming Care and Enabling Success Under Value Based Care
I was thrilled to host our inaugural MHN Talks in Ten webinar last Friday with ClosedLoop CEO Andrew Eye and Chief Medical Officer, Mark Reardon, MD MBA. ? Andrew spoke about the critical workforce and resource challenges facing FQHCs across the country —?70% are experiencing workforce shortages, according to a recent survey by The Commonwealth Fund, while working to?provide accessible, comprehensive, and coordinated care to more than 30 million patients annually. ? Andrew shared how harnessing the?power of AI 2.0 (generative AI)?can help health centers address workforce burnout and extend care teams. ? My three key takeaways from the session: ? 1. Generative AI can not only extend care teams but do so in ways that enhance patient engagement between visits and contact – in a cost-effective way.? 2. Generative AI can also identify social factors affecting health. For example, if a patient cancels an appointment due to transportation issues, the care team can be notified and offer a taxi voucher to prevent missed visits. 3. Healthcare providers need better, more actionable data. AI can pull the most important information from patient messages, making it easier for providers to be proactive. ? Big thanks to Andrew and Mark for kicking off our MHN Talks in Ten series!? ? Stay tuned for our next MHN Talks in Ten — which, as always, we promise to be a short talk with a big impact! ? #MedicalHomeNetwork #MHNTalksInTen #ValuebasedCare #FQHC?
