???? Today marks three years since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Global Forum for Media Development (GFMD) continues to stand in solidarity with Ukrainian independent media and journalists who remain on the frontlines of truth. As we mark this anniversary in the midst of the crisis caused by the U.S. aid freeze, it is more important than ever to recognise the crucial role that independent media has played throughout this war. Their reporting has been essential in documenting events, countering disinformation, and keeping communities informed. We are committed to advocating for long-term support for Ukrainian media and continue to organise regular information-sharing meetings to coordinate efforts and explore sustainable solutions. Independent journalism is essential, and its resilience must be reinforced. #StandWithUkraine #PressFreedom #JournalistsMatter #MediaDev
