MedGlobal is alarmed and appalled by the attack on Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, which wounded Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, MedGlobal’s lead physician in Gaza, along with hospital staff and patients. These are egregious violations of International Humanitarian Law. Civilians, health workers, and healthcare facilities must be protected. #NotATarget

“Last week, we had 140 patients here, on a pediatric ward that only holds 40 patients.” Dr. Greg Shay, a pediatric pulmonologist volunteering in Gaza with MedGlobal, describes the dire situation at Nasser Medical Complex, including overcrowding, the inability to bring in needed medications, and the rise in communicable diseases among the children due to inadequate clothing and shelter.

Medglobal has been serving the communities in Sudan since 2020. We built Oxygen generators, renovated hospitals, provided healthcare to refugees and internally displaced people, trained healthcare providers, provided flood relief, and emergency response to COVID-19 pandemic, and much more. During this overwhelming ongoing civil war, MedGlobal is one of the primary NGOs that is providing access to healthcare and nutrition to hundreds of thousands of displaced populations. Our successful partnership with the #Sudan Humanitarian Fund (SHF) to deliver critical medical supplies to Wadi Halfa Hospital in north of Sudan close to the border with Egypt. Despite the numerous challenges posed by disrupted supply chains and halted medical campaigns, this initiative ensured the continuous provision of essential medicines, consumables, and medical devices. The impact was far-reaching, strengthening the health system in Sudan and enhancing the hospital ability to serve community. #keey Eyes on #Sudan
