Thank you Julia Strandberg for supporting MedExecWomen’s initiatives, including speaking at our annual conference last April.?Recognizing the challenges laid out in this report, MedExecWomen is building a community that aims to advance women in medtech executive management and accelerate the impact of med devices, diagnostics, drug delivery and digital healthcare globally.?We are proud to partner with so many talented senior women executives on this important goal!
Lean In and McKinsey & Company recently released their 9th annual Women in the Workplace report and found that despite more women reaching C-suite positions, progress in early-stage promotions into management remains slow, limiting their advancement into top roles. The result: successfully building talent up – from entry level to senior leadership – still remains one of the most fundamental challenges for organizations globally. Although companies have made progress, it’s not consistent. That’s why organizations that center around the advancement of women in healthcare, like MedtechWOMEN and MedExecWomen, are so important, and why I’m so proud to be the executive sponsor of Philips Women Lead (PWL). To everybody who is with me on the journey to bridge the gap and elevate women in healthcare – THANK YOU! Together we can increase representation of women in leadership positions and create a global culture where everyone can thrive.
