In 2024, over 26,000 junior doctors applied for specialty training. The NHS only had space for around 9,000 of them. ?????? ???????? ???????? ????. Thousands of doctors—fully trained, ready to specialize, eager to serve—were turned away. Not because they weren’t good enough. Not because they didn’t meet the standards. We don’t have enough GPs. We don’t have enough consultants. We are drowning in waiting lists. And yet, somehow, we are actively pushing thousands of doctors into career limbo.? Some take an "F3" year. Some take a dead end service job.
