CPS Energy's GrillsGiving marked its 9th Annual competition, supporting a truly worthy cause. Every dollar raised was dedicated to #REAP, an organization that assists San Antonio families struggling with utility bills. Big props to our crew, the Quanta Rockstars, who smoked the competition and brought home a sizzling 3rd place in the Brisket category. ?? This Halloween, we’re celebrating the ???????????? of giving back with Spire's John Mink proudly leading the way as the main sponsor of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City Trunk or Treat! Our teammate Nate Crain and his family joined in, representing Mears and spreading Halloween joy to families who could use an extra lift. For Nate, this event means so much more than costumes and candy. His connection to Children's Mercy Kansas City and Ronald McDonald House Charities began in 2017, when his daughter, Elianna, underwent brain surgery. During that challenging time, Ronald McDonald House became a comforting place for his family, providing the support they needed most. Then, in 2019, the Crain family welcomed Keisha, who also received life-changing care at Children’s Mercy. Once unable to walk or speak, Keisha is now running, dancing, and singing, thanks to the dedicated care and kindness of these amazing organizations. Reflecting on this journey, Nate shared, “Children’s Mercy and Ronald McDonald House were there when we needed them most. It’s incredibly rewarding to support other families on similar paths.” Thank you to Nate and his family for sharing their story and here’s to the many hands and hearts who keep the ???????????? of giving alive! #WeAreQuanta #HappyHalloween
