Delivering meals and so much more...®
关于我们
Meals On Wheels of Tarrant County promotes the dignity and independence of older adults, persons with disabilities, and other homebound persons by delivering nutritious meals and providing or coordinating needed services. The meals, daily contact by caring volunteers, and professional case management allow frail, homebound clients to remain living independently in their own homes... where they want to be. A volunteer force of over 5,200 caring individuals delivers meals to 2,500 people who truly need our help in neighborhoods throughout Tarrant County. Volunteers also deliver blankets, fans, supplemental groceries, medical equipment, microwave ovens, and other items essential to help clients maintain their independence, along with food for their companion pets. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization that has operated independently in Tarrant County since 1973.

In addition to her consistent contributions, Fanny is known for her strong leadership and passion for community service. She actively participates in various local events and is always looking for ways to improve services in the area. April is Volunteer Appreciation Month. Meals On Wheels could not have the impact on our community without our volunteers, they are the backbone of our agency. Our volunteers not only deliver warm, nutritious lunchtime meals, but also a loving smile and a daily wellness check. We truly couldn’t accomplish our mission without them. Thank you to each and every one of our volunteers taking such good care of our clients.

Last Friday, we had a special visitor at Meals On Wheels – our former CEO Carla Jutson. Carla stopped by to see the new signage at the entrance to our building, welcoming visitors to the Carla Jutson Center. When Carla retired last year, the Board of Directors voted to name our building in recognition of her 50 years of service to Meals On Wheels. It was great catching up with Carla as the leadership team took her lunch to celebrate the official renaming of our building. Plus, we want to extend a special thanks to our friend John Covert for his generous gift to fund this tribute.
