Wherever you find yourself, whether you simply want someone else to talk to or you are experiencing an extreme trial or challenge in life, you don’t need to go at it alone. At Meadowspring Counseling, Ltd., we offer counseling and therapy to adults, young adults, and teens at our Barrington, IL office as well as online. Counseling services we provide include individual counseling, couples counseling, family counseling, and Christian counseling. Areas we specialize in include trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, teen counseling, and parenting. We also aim to be a regional resource offering Christian counseling, mentoring, and support groups for both current and aspiring Christian counselors in the west and northwest suburbs. Mental health counselors carry a heavy load. Supporting people through their difficulties can be rewarding, but compassion fatigue and burnout are common. You do not have to travel this road alone. If you are an aspiring Christian counselor or considering going into the field, we would love to support you and answer questions that you have along your journey. Counseling can be both a highly rewarding and very well paying career, and there's a big need for more counselors. We are passionate about helping others find their ideal place in the field.

We're excited to welcome Shane Schnaebele to our team at Meadowspring Counseling! Shane is a Licensed Professional Counselor accepting new clients now at our Barrington office and online throughout Illinois. Shane see clients with a wide variety of issues, but specializes in helping clients with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, men's issues, and Christian counseling. Shane graduated from Judson University with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and worked at Footprints to Recovery in Elgin before joining our practice. Welcome Michelle Lenz to the Meadowspring Counseling, Ltd. team! Michelle transitioned to our practice in June, and brought with her an office space in Bloomingdale where she sees in-person clients in addition to also offering counseling online. Michelle is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity International University. She has years of experience in many areas, but specializes in helping clients with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma & abuse, and women's issues. She also specializes in Christian counseling and healing prayer. In addition to counseling, Michelle also helps lead some incredible spiritual retreats. If you're a counselor dealing with stress, burnout, isolation, personal issues, or difficulty in your job, don't ever be afraid to get counseling, additional outside supervision of your own, or even just moral support. Our Clinical Director, Sally, loves to help other counselors learn techniques to manage their caseloads, avoid burnout, set healthy boundaries, and find joy in their jobs. As counselors, we need one another, and at Meadowspring, we want to support you in any way we can!

Yesterday our team attended the Mom's With Teens group at Willow Creek Community Church where Sally Secker shared about depression, self-harm, and suicide among teens along with her personal testimony including how the hope, love, and joy she found through Christ aided her on a remarkable journey of healing from a past life of abuse, depression, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts. It was an incredible talk filled with both inspiration and tears. On International Women's Day, we want to take a moment to thank her for her leadership as a business owner, supervisor, and counselor who has already impacted countless lives in deep ways.

Christine is a Qualified Mental Health Professional and recently graduated with her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Judson University. Christine sees clients of all types and specializes in anxiety, depression, and addiction. She also has past experience in Christian counseling. Christine is available and accepting new clients now at our Barrington office and online throughout Illinois.
