This week, M/E attended Frank Lloyd Wright’s Graycliff groundbreaking event for their new Visitor Center. This new facility is set to open in 2026, marking the 100th anniversary of Wright’s design for the Martin family’s summer home on Lake Erie. The Visitor Center will play a key role in welcoming visitors and preserving the history of this iconic site. We recently conducted an extensive energy analysis to assist the NYS Office of Parks in selecting highly efficient, renewable energy alternatives for the buildings of Allegany State Park in Salamanca, NY! M/E Engineering provided mechanical and electrical engineering design of the HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems for 4 comfort station buildings, including 1 four-season building and 3 three-season buildings. Buffalo City Hall, a 32-story Art Deco skyscraper completed in 1931, is one of the nation’s largest city halls and a historic landmark that was recently updated with essential infrastructure improvements. M/E Engineering provided mechanical and electrical engineering expertise for the modernization of four high-rise elevators, along with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing upgrades to support restroom renovations and roof replacements. We’re excited to welcome Caileen to our Rochester office as a Designer in the Electrical Group! Caileen holds an Associate's degree from MCC and is currently in her 5th year of apprenticeship to earn her NYS Electrical Journeyman License, with graduation anticipated in 2025. Before joining M/E, Caileen gained valuable experience as a contractor at and later as a commercial electrician. In her previous roles, she specialized in life safety, fire protection, and controls, where she installed, maintained, and serviced electrical systems in compliance with the National Electrical Code.
