Maryland Public Service Scholars Programs转发了
Next week, after 10.5 years, I will be stepping down from my role as Director of the Maryland Public Service Scholars Programs and leaving the Shriver Center and UMBC. This transition marks the end of a deeply fulfilling chapter in my career. I am immensely proud of the impact the Maryland Public Service Scholars programs have had on the students, the partners we’ve collaborated with, and the communities we've served. To the students and mentors especially, it has been an absolute honor to work alongside so many passionate, dedicated, and inspiring individuals like yourselves. MPSS Fellows/Alumni - watching you grow, connect, and embark on your public service journeys has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. When I moved to Baltimore for a job in the Shriver Center running "some internship programs", I assumed it would be about 2 years before I found myself back in Philly. But the people in the Shriver Center, at UMBC, and those working across Maryland made that impossible. How lucky am I to have found a professional home for all these years doing something I am so passionate about with some of the best people?! There are too many people to name, but in particular I want to shout out my two bosses, first Michele Wolff and now Eric Ford, for always giving me the freedom and support to run with my big ideas. As I transition into the next phase of my career, which I'm excited to share more about soon (still in Maryland), I carry with me so many lessons, experiences, and memories. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this chapter!
