Founded by Randi Williams, Metallic Luxury is building affordable modular homes with climate resilient features and providing foreclosure prevention education to help create buy-in for Maryland buyers being priced out of home ownership. Through sustainable practices and community outreach, Randi and Metallic Luxury are working to address the Baltimore housing crisis while reducing emissions. Today our CEO Carlos Romero-Talamas and COO Oliver M Barham, PhD met Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, and discussed the benefits of centrifugally rotating fusion energy. As the first members of the fusion community to engage with the Secretary, they emphasized how much excitement there is in the fusion community today, since we are on the cusp of bringing fusion energy to the grid for the first time in human history. DOE funding has been critical to our efforts to develop our technology, and we look forward to furthering our technology with the support of DOE in the future!
