NABIP is working to reintroduce the COBRA as Creditable Coverage legislation. The Medicare Enrollment Protection Act aims to allow seniors to transition from COBRA to Medicare without facing lifetime penalties for late enrollment in Parts B and D. As a member of the Metro Detroit Chapter of NABIP, the Board of Directors would like to invite you to join one of our committees! Below is a list of the committees of which we are looking for volunteers: 1) Medicare Summit: Very similar to the Benefits Expo but geared towards the Medicare industry. Last years event was a huge success and we look forward to growing this year! ? 2) Golf Committee: Help with set up, day of needs, registration, and sponsorship recruitment. ? 3) Ambassador Committee: Help welcome new NABIP members and encourage new members to join member events (similar to Chamber of Commerce ambassador groups) Joining one of the committees gives you the opportunity to become involved, grow partnerships throughout the association and help guide our amazing chapter to continued future success.
