Following MCR’s victory in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals against the Department of Transportation which confirmed non-explosive nature of MCR products, we had the honor of hosting the inaugural rally for Speaker Mike Johnson’s American Revival Tour at our manufacturing facility in Arlington, Texas. Schoonover Associate Administrator of PHMSA an agency within the U.S. Department of Transportation, declaring our disassembled Radial Cutting Torch (RCT) can ship as non-explosive. Earlier this year, in May, we shared the ruling from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, which found that PHMSA had acted arbitrarily and capriciously in its attempts to prevent MCR from transporting our disassembled cutting torch containing thermite.?With the Fifth Circuit's ruling in our favor, PHMSA has confirmed that it will regulate MCR’s disassembled tools containing MCR’s proprietary B15 thermite mix as a non-explosive. It all started with a simple WhatsApp message from Adrian Martínez Contreras with Vinco Energy Services SA de CV: “We have a Differential Pressure Situation. We have 2,300 psi of differential pressure.” Bill Boelte’s response, “WOW, that’s a lot,” led to a detailed discussion about the well’s specifics, including completion size, ID, fluid type, and more. Bill and Adrian calculated that using the typically recommended puncher would subject the tool string to an upward thrust of 15,580 lbs, risking significant damage and potential of tool getting stuck. Instead, Bill recommended a smaller Perforating Torch Cutter with a single nozzle for self-anchoring, followed by a Radial Cutting Torch/Electro-Mechanical Anchor combination. They crafted a comprehensive plan with backup options, which was communicated to Vinco’s customer in the Gulf of Mexico. Pipe Recovery in Horizontal well with a tubing packed with sand. ? I want to thank Renegade Services and Bennett Davis Davis for sharing their success story. Their customer faced a tough challenge recovering 2 3/8” 5.95lb/ft tubing from a horizontal well which was packed with sand. Despite multiple attempts using a chemical cutter and four jet cutters from 13,000ft to 10,660ft, all efforts failed, and the jet cutter even became stuck and was left in the well on the fourth jet cutter try. ? After so many failed attempt customer contacted Renegade Services Wireline Services, and Bennett Davis recommended using MCR Oil Tools LLC #RadialCuttingTorch (RCT). After meticulous job planning, a 1.5” #RCT was deployed to nearly 10,600ft. In a single run, the RCT successfully cut and freed the tubing. ?
