Today is International Day of the Girl—and Give to Women and Girls Day, launched in 2022 by our client The Women’s Philanthropy Institute (WPI). Fittingly, Melinda French Gates announced Wednesday that she will be pledging $250 million to organizations supporting women’s health globally. In their reporting on French-Gates’ announcement, AP News highlighted WPI’s new research and quoted interim director Jacqueline Ackerman, who emphasized the importance of everyone who cares about women and girls’ issues stepping up to donate.
