Today, members of the Fargo McNeilus Steel team visited the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Dakota to donate from our Employee Charitable Contribution fund. On average, Make-A-Wish grants wishes of children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions every 35 minutes to enrich the human experience through hope, strength, and joy. The Make-A-Wish team lives the values of the organization in the pursuit of granting wishes. From program services and operations to fundraising and public relations, every staff member fulfills a vital role for the mission. Thank you to everyone at Make-A-Wish for your work in making wishes come true! We are grateful to have you in our community.

Last week, we wished Mike Serie well in his retirement after 37 years of service. Mike has been an integral part of our coil leveling department for most of his career. He was always reliable and adaptable, with the knowledge and experience to operate at any stage of the coil leveling operation. Furthermore, he was a leader in safety. Mike was our record holder for the most days worked without an accident. The record? Over 31 years. We can't thank Mike enough for his hard work and dedication to safety. He will be greatly missed. Please join us in congratulating Mike Serie on his retirement. It is well deserved, and we wish you all the best in this next chapter!

Today, we congratulated Tim Gensmer on his retirement after over 6 years with the Dodge Center team. Tim is no stranger to the industry, working most of his career in manufacturing. Tim joined our team through our acquisition of RDM of Minnesota in 2018. At RDM, Tim was a manufacturing lead who helped us consolidate teams and processes between the organizations. For the last 5 years, he has helped our inventory team coordinate materials between divisions. Thank you for your dedication and leadership throughout the years, Tim! We wish you all the best as you enjoy retirement on the lake and with your family!

The final donation of 2024 from our Fond du Lac team was to Fishing Has No Boundaries. Fishing Has No Boundaries is an organization that provides recreational fishing opportunities for all anglers with disabilities regardless of their age, race, gender, or disability. Their mission is to create public awareness of the problems facing persons with disabilities and the shortfall of recreational opportunities, as well as be a resource for information on adapted fishing equipment and accessibility. Thank you to all the volunteers at Fishing Has No Boundaries for the work you make this great sport accessible for all.

Another Fond du Lac area organization that received a donation from the Charitable Contribution fund in 2024 was Salute the Troops. Salute the Troops provides much needed financial, emotional, and professional resources to service members, veterans, and their families in the Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, and Dodge County areas. We can't thank everyone at Salute the Troops organization enough for the work they do to support veterans. You are an integral part of our community!
