Partnerships are living, growing things. The McNabb Center is thrilled to announce our new partnership with Cherokee Health Systems. Today, Cherokee cut the ribbon on their brand new Get Well Now walk-in clinic, conveniently located inside the McNabb Center’s EmPATH building at 1515 St. Mary Street. Thank you Mayor Indya Kincannon for speaking! "We knew, as two of the largest not for profits in East Tennessee, that coming together was the right thing to do for the betterment of our community", says Mona Blanton-Kitts, McNabb Center president and CEO. "Together, we have served 335 individuals and diverted 323 of them from the emergency room since June 3rd. Congratulations to the Cherokee team and congratulations to our community." We are excited about this collaboration as we continue to expand services for those in need across East Tennessee.

Congratulations to Sara Scott for receiving a prestigious award at the 2024 PCIT International Conference in recognition of her outstanding efforts in promoting and training Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) across Tennessee! PCIT International is dedicated to fostering the well-being of children and families worldwide through the development of effective, evidence-based skills. Their mission is to build and strengthen a diverse community of expert PCIT therapists, trainers, and researchers who make a difference in the lives of families everywhere. Sara is the Mental Health Outpatient Services Coordinator at our Knoxville Children & Youth Center.

In addition, the truck was able to stop by our Children and Youth Center. The kiddos were so excited to see the truck up close, and we are incredibly grateful for Harrison Construction's support of our mission. The McNabb Center was honored to participate in Metro Drug Coalition's International Overdose Awareness Day event, alongside other incredible local agencies. Thank you to everyone who visited our booth and to the powerful panel that spoke today. It was inspiring to witness our community come together once again to honor the lives lost to overdose. The McNabb Center remains committed to continuing the fight to #EndOverdose.
