Yesterday, our team had the incredible opportunity to visit the historic McMill building and witness firsthand the amazing renovations made possible with historic tax credits. With the assistance of these tax credits, McMill was able to preserve and bring back to life a vital piece of Norfolk history. Built in 1903 it served as a post office, federal courthouse, and jailhouse. The project has been successful in maintaining the historical character of the building, while renovating it to maximize its potential and current use. These renovations preserve a piece of the town’s history, complementing the historic building with modern enhancements. We would like to thank the teams at McMill and the Nebraska Historical Preservation Office for the invitation to the Norfolk Rehab Roadshow.
