Meet the rest of the Mac APP team! Aadi is a biochemistry student at McMaster with a passion for biotechnology. Outside of academics, he enjoys watching and playing hockey as well as spending his free time playing video games. Aiman is a 3rd-year student in the Honours Life Sciences program. She is passionate about the innovative alternative protein research taking place at McMaster and wants to help raise awareness about these endeavours. In her free time, you can find her at MUSC drinking a steeped tea double-double while reading a manga! Avani is a third-year Biochemistry student with aspirations of pursuing a career in healthcare. Her passion for the alternative protein space was ignited during the Summer Fellowship hosted by the New Roots Institute. Through her role in the McMaster Alternative Protein Project, she aims to organise engaging and educational events that inspire the McMaster community. Saraf is a 2nd year Honours Life Science student that is very passionate about pursing healthcare initiatives. As a part of the APP team, she aims to promote change and engage students from diverse backgrounds in initiatives aimed at transitioning to plant-based and cultivated meat options. Hana enjoys reading about interesting topics and learning new things, which sparked her interest in the Alt Protein Group. She is passionate about alternative proteins due to her interest in nutrition and sustainability. She values collaboration and is excited to contribute to the club’s growth and initiatives. #McMaster?#AltProtein

Meet the APP Directors! Bisma is a second-year master’s student in Food and Nutrition with a strong passion for promoting healthy eating and improving lifestyles. As a member of the McMaster APP, she is dedicated to advancing research in the field and is focused on driving the sustainable production of alternative proteins to create a positive impact on both health and the environment. Her work reflects a commitment to shaping the future of nutrition and sustainability. Kobe is a 1st year student in the Integrated Biomedical Engineering & Health Sciences (iBioMed) program. He is passionate about leveraging his interdisciplinary education to develop innovative health solutions. As a part of McMaster APP, he wants to help accelerate change and involve students from all backgrounds in efforts to shift towards plant-based and cultivated meat. Maheswary is a third year biology student who is interested in the field of alternative proteins and how they can have positive impacts on the environment and human health. As a member of APP, she hopes to raise awareness on alternative proteins and educate the McMaster community on the positive impacts they can have. Ali Panju is in his second year of the Arts and Science program. He enjoys playing sports and reading fantasy books. As part of the APP executive team, he wants to contribute to the growth of the alternative protein movement and help foster a community that adopts more sustainable and ethical food choices. Aditi is a second year Health Sciences program. She is passionate about using her skills to make a positive impact on other people and animals!
