McLaren Northern Michigan is a 202-bed regional referral center located in Petoskey, serving residents in 22 counties across northern Lower Michigan and the eastern part of the Upper Peninsula. More than 230 physicians represent nearly all medical and surgical specialties, enabling full-service care with an emphasis on cardiology, cancer, orthopedics and neurosciences. McLaren Northern Michigan is a certified Primary Stroke Center, as designated by the Joint Commission. The hospital has a network of primary care providers and specialty care clinics throughout the region, and an outpatient surgery center in Cheboygan.

Meet Susan Gennette! Susan has been with our Environmental Services team as a Housekeeper II for two and a half years. Spending her days cleaning patient rooms, Susan finds immense joy in meeting new people and talking with patients and their family members. After not being able to help her wheelchair bound grandmother as a child, Susan finds that her work helps her fulfill that wish from her childhood. She is extremely proud of the work she does and is always working hard to do things efficiently and effectively. Outside of work Susan is a hunter who also enjoys doing all sorts of arts and crafts and spending time with her family. She also enjoys rooting for the Detroit Red Wings, enjoying a dinner at Lucky’s, or listening to her favorite band, Little Big Town.
