MDOT's US-127 rebuild project is moving right along and the northbound lanes are now open to traffic as well as the Dunckel Road on-ramp. This will give our patients, staff, and visitors some break from construction surrounding the hospital campus before they start on the southbound lanes early next year. Six years ago we announced that we were building a new $650 million health care campus in South Lansing adjacent to MSU's campus. When we made that announcement we committed to the community that we wouldn't leave our existing hospitals empty. We pledged to either repurpose or demo the buildings and make the land green space. Today, we are so honored to have been invited to the wall breaking for Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton, Ingham Counties new Crises Center. Jay De Los Reyes, COO for McLaren Greater Lansing, spoke about how important it was for McLaren to have to re-purpose our legacy campuses and the sites continue to deliver health care to the greater Lansing area. This center will deliver behavioral, emotional, and mental health services to youth and adults in our community. To know that our previous health care campus is being re-purposed into a corridor of care is something that takes many groups of people to make happen, and we are so excited to see this new resource being built for our community.

We appreciate their support and giving back to the community. Our staff and visitors truly enjoyed this surprise!
