McLaren Central Michigan has earned an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national distinction that recognizes the hospital’s achievements in protecting patients from harm while providing safe, compassionate health care. All hospitals across the statewide McLaren Health Care system improved grades, including Petoskey-based McLaren Northern Michigan, which also earned an ‘A.’

McLaren Central Michigan recognized and honored its history with the rededication of its Physician Hall of Fame on Friday, Oct. 25. Originally dedicated in 2006 with an inaugural induction class of 11 physicians from past medical staffs covering the hospital’s 81-year history, the Hall has grown to recognize 26 providers with regular additions over the years.
