Safety Saturdays have begun at McLane Company, Inc. Sunwest Division. This 5-weekend Saturday program was recently created for newly hired drivers to focus on the fundamentals of product, personal, equipment and truck safety. In addition to the regular drivers academy, our new drivers are learning the skills to make them the best and safest drivers McLane Sunwest can offer through a specialized one-on-one setting. After attending the 2025 Women's Foodservice Forum (WFF) Leadership Conference, I am still basking in the energy from these supercharged days! WFF fosters inclusion, empowerment, and divine feminine energy in a way that is unparalleled in any professional organizations for women. This year‘s conference was nothing short of amazing; reinvigorating the importance of lifting women up, supporting each other in our goals and paying forward opportunities we are given as women in leadership roles. So grateful for the privilege of being able to celebrate Gina Sarmiento, McLane Company, Inc. employee of 35 years on her retirement today from our Riverside DC! Gina has been an exemplary customer service teammate; and a joy to work with. I had the pleasure of being her manager for nine years and I’m so excited for her next grand adventure. Riverside has always held a special place in my career and it’s so wonderful to be invited back to celebrate these milestones.
