The McKinney Chamber of Commerce, McKinney Community Development Corporation, Collin County Black Chamber and ourselves partnered together - Gere’ Feltus, MD and Shawn Whitlock did a great job organizing the 4th annual MBHM event, and Jade “Lady Jade” B. did an incredible job of interviewing Roland Parrish about his tenacity, leadership, work ethic, and most importantly, contributions back to community. McKinney is breaking ground! Construction will begin soon for the Sunset Amphitheater, a 20,000-seat outdoor venue coming to Southgate Development at U.S. 75 & S.H. 121. This project is expected to bring over 1,300 direct and indirect jobs to the community and generate a $3 billion economic impact in its first ten years. With fully covered seating, over 250 fire pit suites, and 5,100 onsite parking spaces, this is set to be a game-changer for live entertainment in North Texas.
