#MCIU celebrated World Down Syndrome Day in style by rocking our socks! ?????? At the Discovery Center, our team proudly wore gold and blue to show support, raise awareness, and celebrate individuals with Down syndrome. Later in the day, we came together for a building-wide “buddy walk” with our friends from Transition, Head Start, and Pre-K Counts—an uplifting celebration of inclusion and community. #WorldDownSyndromeDay #RockYourSocks

Students in our Career and Transition Readiness program put their job skills to the test during Mock Interview Day! ?? Leading up to the event, students focused on essential postsecondary skills like resume writing, crafting an effective cover letter, and completing job applications. Each student responded to a hypothetical job posting, prepared an application, and participated in two interviews. A structured rubric evaluated their communication, problem-solving, relevant experience, and professionalism. Afterward, students reflected on their performance in a debrief session with the interviewers, identifying strengths and areas for growth. Many walked away with a sense of accomplishment and pride, gaining valuable experience for their future careers! #CareerReadiness #PostsecondarySuccess
