This holiday season, McHugh Engineering proudly participated in the Helping Thy Neighbor (HTN) Project Santa initiative, supporting children in Kensington schools with gifts to spread holiday cheer. Our team came together to wrap bags filled with hats, socks, books, and games for boys in grades 3 and 5. It’s a privilege to give back and bring joy to our community this time of year.

We’re excited to share Fieldstone at Chester Springs, a 3-story retirement community offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care. McHugh's MPE systems feature energy recovery ventilation systems, variable refrigerant flow systems, and an emergency generator. The facility includes 101 thoughtfully designed units, featuring spacious living areas, commercial kitchens, a pub, library, gaming rooms, and laundry facilities. It is now providing residents with a modern, comfortable, and secure living space, designed to meet their individual needs.

Featured project: We were excited to be part of the renovation and expansion of Doylestown Country Club in Bucks County, PA. The project included revitalizing key spaces like the locker rooms, outdoor deck, kitchen, and dining room, while also adding modern amenities such as a food service area, bar, pro shop, and golf simulator to enhance the club's experience.

Project Highlight: We're proud to have worked on the interior renovation of the COMHAR office building, a non-profit in Philadelphia dedicated to empowering individuals and communities to live healthier, self-determined lives. This project involved creating new training rooms and renovating existing spaces to better serve their mission. Construction is now complete for Janney Apartments in Port Richmond. The project is owned and managed by HumanGood and provides 47 one-bedroom senior affordable apartments. These spacious one-bedroom apartments are complete with modern finishes, large windows with natural light, energy efficient appliances, and accessible features. The complex also boasts multiple resident gathering spaces, a beautiful courtyard, onsite management and maintenance, and elevators. Located in Cinnaminson, New Jersey, McHugh Engineering crafted MPE designs for key areas such as the commercial kitchen, outdoor pool, pool equipment room, restrooms, commercial laundry, and lighting. Here’s a throwback to one of our past ENERGY STAR-rated projects: North Central Philadelphia Choice V, which features the new construction of 117 affordable residential apartments in a 4-story mid-rise building, along with 16 apartments in a 3-story townhouse. This project includes residences, a community room, a computer room, fitness facilities, laundry, and supporting offices. Back in 2015, KMA redesigned the main dining room at Acts Brittany Pointe to give it a more modern feel.  The entry into the main room was modified to create a welcoming center with the addition of a hostess station. The private dining room was refinished.  A two-sided fireplace was added between the main and private dining rooms as an attractive focal point to merge the rooms in an exciting design. A folding door was added to open the private dining room to the main dining room or separate it, allowing versatility in dining options.  The salad bar was relocated closer to the central kitchen to give the dining room a better flow and easy access for staff. It is rewarding to look back at work at Acts Brittany Pointe and realize the difference it has made in residents' day-to-day lives.     McHugh Engineering Associates, Inc.
