Work at San Joaquin Delta College is gearing up! McGuire and Hester is installing geotextile fabric, shock pads, and synthetic turf for the softball field, trench drains for baseball, and a new storm drain system for both. At the football field, our team is installing storm drains, catch basins, and grading the subgrade for future cement treatment. The Arden Way Complete Streets Plan and Phase 1 Improvements Project is set to transform a key corridor in Sacramento, making it safer and more accessible for all. Covering 1.7 miles from Howe Avenue to Watt Avenue, this project will introduce pedestrian-friendly upgrades, Class IV bike lanes, landscaped buffers, improved crosswalks, and enhanced transit facilities. Over Presidents Day weekend, McGuire and Hester answered the call when the City of Davis faced a critical infrastructure failure—not one, but two failing manholes on the city's 21” and 48” trunk mains. With over 20 feet of depth and high-flow conditions, this was no ordinary repair. Our team jumped into action, working alongside City of Davis crews to install temporary bypass systems and prevent further disruptions.
