The program will offer subsidized loan rates, ranging from 0% for low-income households to 4.99% for others, and will allow homeowners to include solar battery storage and roof replacement. In the first-year, the partnership aims to provide $5 million in loans, helping to reduce energy costs and mitigate environmental impact, with projected hundreds of thousand in annual savings for residents. The collaboration also emphasizes equitable access to renewable energy, with half of the loans expected to go to residents in disadvantaged areas.
