Congratulations to former MB CEO and Chairman, Scott McGohan for being named the Dayton Business Journal’s 2024 Regional Leader of the Year! McGohan, a dedicated community advocate, is the founder of the Mentors Matter summer camp, a program that supports inner-city youth in Dayton. His community involvement includes serving on the boards of the Dayton Development Coalition, Crayons to Classrooms and Coastal Pet. Scott's commitment to empowering others has been a hallmark of his career, making a lasting impact on the region.
In addition to his business accomplishments, Scott has been a keynote speaker on employee wellbeing, including TEDx engagements, and is the author of “Culture Is an Inside Job: Embracing Self-Awareness to Inspire an Authentic Organization.” For nearly two decades, he has dedicated himself to helping individuals in recovery and supporting those in need, leading to his latest initiative, One Morning — a mental health engagement platform aimed at driving cultural transformation within organizations that prioritize their people.
The Regional Leader of the Year award, chosen annually by the DBJ Editorial Board, recognizes those who make significant contributions to the community and regional growth. It is part of the Business of the Year awards—Dayton’s premier recognition program for business and civic leaders.
