Where history meets hospitality! Buck & Honey's Restaurants feel like stepping into an old friend’s home—warm, inviting, and full of history. Named after Buck & Honey Birkinbine, who once farmed the land of the restaurant's first Sun Prairie location, the restaurant carries on their legacy of hospitality and service. From custom design elements to storytelling through architecture, JLA had the pleasure of working with Buck & Honey’s owners to bring their vision to life with two one-of-a-kind locations: 📍 MONONA (Completed in 2019) - 10,900 s.f., two-story, 180-seat restaurant including two bars, two commercial kitchens, and private event spaces. - Behind the main bar is a feature wall now known as the "infinity forest" which was a hands-on design effort by owner Tom Anderson, JLA's Adam Fredendall, Galway Companies, McGann Construction, Inc., and Finishline Construction. Yes, that's a real birch tree in there cut down from one of their yards! - The lower level offers private event spaces including a separate bar area that also boasts a walk-up window making it a convenient stop for those visiting Grand Crossing Park. Separate from the main room is an intimate event space tucked behind a murphy door. - Outside, the upper patio has a custom timber pergola and a linear fire feature. 📍MOUNT HOREB (Completed in 2023) - Renovation of a historic 1912 building (11,080 s.f.) into a 150-seat restaurant with an outdoor patio and existing private event space.
