??New report released! The Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation is proud to announce the release of our FY24 Annual Report. This report highlights the work the MCEDC team has done to serve the business community in Montgomery County, Maryland over the past year. We’re excited to share that MCEDC has assisted in creating and retaining 2,263 total jobs in our key industries, resulting in $353M Total Economic Impact. In addition, 17 loans were approved for a total of $1.698M through the ACE Loan Assistance program. We look forward to continuing this momentum into the new fiscal year. Yesterday, our President & CEO,?Bill Tompkins,?had the honor of co-presenting the “Corporate Social Responsibility Award” alongside?the National Children's Center (NCC)?to?Fitzgerald Auto Mall?for their work in Montgomery County. It is always a fantastic opportunity to join the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) to celebrate the achievements of so many of our local Montgomery County companies that are impacting the community day in and day out. Congrats to all awardees!

Montgomery County and MCEDC are proud to partner with organizations like the Central Maryland Chamber to collaborate across the state and discuss economic development, tourism, and the importance of a strong regional talent and workforce pipeline.?With a shared goal of further driving economic growth, our CEO Bill Tompkins joined the economic development panel to point out the latest developments in MoCo: ? Earlier this year, AstraZeneca announced an expansion of its Rockville manufacturing facility that will add 150 new jobs, while #cybersecurity company BlueHalo announced a 57k sf expansion in Germantown. ? The newly launched BioHub Maryland Training and Education Center at Montgomery County will train cohorts in biomanufacturing in a workspace designed to replicate a modern bioprocessing facility with state-of-the-art equipment. ?
