Maryland landed in the top 10 in three of the five measured metrics: ? Fourth-highest pay per employee relative to all businesses? ? 25.4% of companies are minority-owned, the sixth-highest share in the U.S.? ? 56.6% have operated for at least six years, the 10th-highest across the country ?? Earlier today, EagleBank announced the relocation of its corporate headquarters! Exciting news from the Montgomery County Government and Montgomery County Business Center! MOVE Grants are now available to businesses moving AND expanding in #MontgomeryCountyMd. Established in 2014 as a pilot program, the Make Office Vacancy Extinct (MOVE) grant program has disbursed more than $5.2M to 85 businesses occupying more than 703k sf of office space in the county. The program was codified by the Montgomery County Council earlier this year and will be disbursed through the Economic Development Fund. Eligibility Updates: ? > Available for new and existing companies expanding in the county. > Qualified companies signing a commercial lease in the county may receive up to $150,000 for new office space. > There’s no longer a cap on the square footage limitation, so all companies are encouraged to apply. > Grants are based on eligible square feet, as defined in the Executive Regulation. Many of our nation’s heroes are now entrepreneurs, leading the way with innovative ideas and creating opportunities for others. #MontgomeryCounty recently announced the opening of the Jobs Creation Fund for applications, a program designed to drive economic growth and continue driving job creation in the county. ?? Eligible businesses based in Montgomery County, Md, in life sciences, advanced technology, cybersecurity, quantum computing or hospitality can receive up to $10,000-12,000 per new job when they create at least five (5) jobs, with a base annual salary of $100k.
