Yesterday, Patrick McCarthy, one of McDonald Sanders, P.C., Attorneys at Law’s talented associate attorneys, was honored with the 2024 LegalLine Rookie of the Year Award presented by the Tarrant County Bar Foundation Pro Bono Programs. The award was presented during the Pro Bono Awards Ceremony on January 7, 2025, at the City Club of Fort Worth. Patrick accepted the recognition in front of family and his peers, a moment that highlighted his dedication to making a difference in our community. When asked about the award, Patrick humbly shared: "I think LegalLine is a cool way to make a lot of impact in the community with minimal time or effort; said differently, it is efficient and surprisingly effective. You can help folks out more than you would think with just a few 15-minute phone calls. It’s also a great learning experience, and a fun way to mix up my practice. Receiving the award was nice, and I’m honored to be recognized, but as far as I’m concerned, they could have picked any of the repeat volunteers and it wouldn’t have really mattered. The important thing is that the awards hopefully raise awareness for the various local pro bono programs."
